Default Document Types on folders
I don't know how other companies address this, but I can't count on using the Document Type field as a search option since I have no guarantee that the user assigned the document type. But if I could assign a default document type to a folder, then whenever a document is placed into that folder it c...

Can I access Doc. Properties through Office Add-in?
I was wondering if it's possible to access the Document Properties when opened through the MS Office Add-in? Possibly as a variable? For example, we have many Word documents where we would like to have the document's version number in the header or footer. Currently, the people maintaing these docum...

Other Workflow Enhancements
Here's what I would like to see (in the very near future! ;-) to really make Workflow something super: (NOTE: I made changes on 2/22/12 after realizing that some of the things I'm asking for are already there. Sorry for my ignorance.) 1) Make "Percent Complete" more than just a field value: Make it ...

Re: Completion Status
It would be extremely beneficial if we could do the following: 1) Assign a Pct of Completion value at a given step in Workflow. 2) Have the Workflow view include Pct of Completion (by default). 3) Add Pct of Completion to Advanced Searches and/or Categories. 4) Have a Portal Gadget which can display...

Re: Gadget for a "Saved Search"?
That's good news, especially for those of us who aren't programmers yet want a little more functionality in the portal gadgets. As far as specific suggestions, I like the way an advanced search allows me to choose default values and restrict which fields the end user will see. But I would also like ...

Gadget for a "Saved Search"?
Hello.
Is there any way I can force a user to the confines of a saved search? The saved advanced search feature is good but it would be great if I could restrict and simplify the search process within a portal. If there's not an easy way to do this, is there a hard way?

Re: Local Users
Hi, It's not that I want to keep a local user from accessing anonymous libraries per se, it's just that I'm looking for a way to return a "cleaner" search result without the user having to click on Advanced Search. For example, we have the non-member search for various employee forms, procedures, an...

Local Users
I created a library and created a local user in that library. I want that user account, when logged in, to only search & retrieve documents within that library, no others. However, when I log in as that user and perform a search it returns documents from anonymous libraries, too. Is this supposed to...
