The 64 bit Windows 2008 is a very good choice. So is the MySQL database. You can't go wrong with that combination.

Both Scan Station and the Hotfolders tools are capable of importing OCR data. The OCR data however needs to be in one of the formats we support. Most Scanning tools with OCR capability allow users to format the output of the OCR data (or sometimes called the "index"). If your tool does not support t...

Re: Installation on XP or Vista Business?
Yes. But a word of caution! We only support Vista Business or XP on a trial basis. These platforms are limited and their abilities to run enterprise-class software and should not be used for anything other than testing. And that's of course if you have no other option. We strongly recommend that you...

Re: Deleted users in LDAP are disabled in infoRouter
Hello,
You are correct. We do not automatically delete the user from inforouter.
We think that disabling the user is dramatic enough. After all, you may simply be re-arranging the user groups on your LDAP server.
I hope this makes sense.

Re: Portals and Libraries
Dear Ms. Logan,
Portals are not tied to or related to document libraries. They are entirely independant of document libraries.
You can create as many portals as you like. Unfortunately you cannot assign user groups to a portal. Users can be assigned a default portal but not groups.

Re: Workflow Definitions
No. Workflow definitions are created at the "Document Library" level. Every Library Manager can create these definitions and decide where these worklows are active. Yes. Little know fact, but you can control which branch of the folder tree you want the workflow to be effective. Just use the tools me...
