Is the synchronization one-way in LDAP Manager?

Post by gureli » Wed Dec 05, 2012 8:23 am

Hello,
Does the LDAP Synchronization Manager support two way synchronization?
In other words, will the changes we make on the infoRouter side be reflected to LDAP?

Thanks.

Hi,
Changes to user accounts in infoRouter are NOT reflected to LDAP (One way synchronization).
If you would like to make changes on the LDAP authenticated users, make changes on the LDAP account information.

The changes will be automatically reflected to infoRouter with the LDAP Synchronization Service.

The Guru.

Thank you very much for your reply. Another question is, what shall we do to delete an LDAP authenticated user from infoRouter?
Is it okay to delete the user from inforouter manually?

Deleting an LDAP authenticated user manually is not reccommended. The LDAP Synchronization Service will recreate the deleted account if the account exists in the LDAP.
Another point is, infoRouter users are NEVER deleted by this tool. When required, users are only “Disabled” in infoRouter.
