Creating HTML with embeded javascript

I tried to create HTML template with a date picker, but I failed.
is it possible to do it with inforouter

We do not inherently provide a date picker but you can code this with Java script and we do not do anything to prevent it.

How can i get the current username value using HTML and the value to be shown in the PDF generated through document template? Is this possible? If yes, can you show me sample code? If not, what would be your recommendation to solve the problem? I hope you can reply this issue asap. thanks.
