Has it ever been considered to allow a user to set a re-occuring task?
If I, or any user, needs to take some action on a document every quarter (for example) I could create a task that has a frequency option which I can set to 90 days or 3 months.
The re-occuring task would act as a reminder each quarter to review the document.

This feature already exists and it is called a ISO task in the current release level (8.0.56).
It does exactly what you described.

The version being worked on (8.0.80) will provide an enhanced version of this feature.

As of version 8.5 Recurring tasks have been vastly improved. (September 1, 2015)
You can now fire recurring workflows in those cases where a single task is not enough to cover what must be accomplished.
Steps to do this:

• Create a workflow with as many steps as you wish.
  Complete the workflow definitions process
  Create a recurring task
  Choose to assign the task to a workflow instead of an individual.
  This will trigger the workflow

then wait for the task occur

When it came time for the task should start, and not as expected, in my task bar appeared in a task sent by the system

Hi,
I wish to set reoccurring ISO reviews on documents with frequencies varying from one to multiple years, the intention is that this will trigger a workflow.
The options I am presented with in the schedule box is a start date and a dropdown where I can only select a daily, weekly or monthly review frequency.
Is there any means of configuring the scheduling to achieve what I want?
