Sorting documents by custom properties

I can sort all the columns in the document library but when I choose custom properties columns to display they cannot be sorted; can I sort them? The document ID column only ever sorts from lowest to highest, is there a reason for this?

Hello,
We deliberately do not allow the sorting of the custom property columns. These columns may contain multiple rows for each document therefore are not appropriate for sorting by nature.
As for the Document ID column, it appears that this is an oversight on our part. We have made this change so that the upcoming version (currently called 8.0.80) will address this issue.
