Audit Log disabled

Whenever I try and access the logs for my files. I get a red message in the bottom corner of the window that says "Audit log is disabled for *whatever log I'm trying to access*". I'm not sure how my logs got disabled, but how do I re-enable them? I'm using Inforouter version 7.5.

Thanks!

Hello,

The audit logs for each library are enabled/disabled in the library policies screen. These logs can be turned on or off at the library level.
We chose to do it this way because logging may become a huge overhead in busy environments. This way you can choose to enable logging for each library.

Further info:
To edit the library policies, you must either be the system administrator (sysadmin) of the "Library Manager".

Go the the infoRouter Control Panel and click on the Libraries link.
Select a library from the list and click on the "Library Policies" link located on the left menu.

We hope this information helps.

The Guru.

Maybe I'm missing something, but when I go to Library Policies in V8, I don't see anything that allows me to enable policies.

Please see attached screen shot.

How do I enable the "Security Audit Log", or any of the other logs?

Thanks,

Hello Terry,

The auditing functions are controlled in the "Library Policies" section.
The screen shot you attached is not the Library Policies screen.

Simply go to the infoRouter control panel and choose libraries.
In the library window, select a library and click on the "Library Policies" link on the left hand side.

The Library policies control the behavior of infoRouter on a library basis. This is where the audit logs for the library can be turned on and off.

I hope this helps.

The Guru
