Custom Properties

I understand that custom meta can be created in infoRouter. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

Hello Sandy,

Here is how custom property sets can be created:

Log into infoRouter as "Sysadmin"
Navigate to the infoRouter control panel Choose the "Custom Properties" link
This will display a list of existing custom properties Click the "New" link to create a new custom property set Specify a name and a caption for the new custom property Click Ok.
This will display a screen where you can start specifying the individual fields of the custom property set Create as many fields as you wish Click the "Ok" button when finished.

This will have created the custom property set that is unique to you.

Now you may apply this custom property set to any document by performing the following:
Navigate to the "document properties" screen of any document
Scroll down to the section labeled "Custom properties"
Click on the drop down control to display a list of custom property sets and choose the one that you just created
This will bring up a screen that prompts you for the values of the fields.
Enter the values and click "Ok"

Also notice that when you go to the "Advanced Search" screen, the newly created custom property set will appear as an option.
