Hello,
What kind of hardware do you recommend for say 200-300 users using infoRouter daily.
Thanks

Re: What kind of hardware do you recommend?
Hello Eclin,
There are no set rules for what kind of hardware will be enough.
This depends on multiple factors such as:
For this scenario the following machine configuration would serve the best results:
A dedicated Windows 2008 64 bit server class machine.
8 - 32 GB of RAM (The more the better for large upload and download scenarios)
Dual Xeon (or better) CPUs.
Fast disk drives. A Network Attached Storage Array (NAS) with fast SCSI drives would be needed in busy environments.
We have hundreds of clients with 2000 or more users that use a machine similar to the one above with no issues whatsoever.
If your case is significantly different then the configuration described above should be tweaked.
Example: 500 concurrent users constantly downloading 100MB video files.
Example: 50 MB scanned images are constantly being imported into infoRouter and hundreds of users are constantly downloading such files.
In such cases the memory should be bumped up significantly.
Please note that the critical assumption here is that this machine is dedicated to infoRouter.
If you are running infoRouter on a machine that hosts other applications then all the numbers and figures above no longer make sense.
I hope this information helps.

- Number of users concurrently accessing infoRouter
What kind of activity these users are engaging in?
What is the average document size?
The frequency in which users download large documents/files
