Re: Archiving a document
Hello,
To use the archiving feature you must first create a library that has been defined as an archive library (the SYSADMIN can do this).
Once such a library exists, any who can move a document into this (archive) library can effectively archive a document or folder.
Your permissions have a lot to do with this though. When you move a document from one library, you are basically deleting the document from one library and creating a document in another. You must have bot permissions to archive a document.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
Can we specify/configure the archive folder physical path, so that the archived docs can be saved in some other server physical location (rather than in the same server where the infoRouter has installed).
Thanks,
Balaji

Hi,
Can you please clarify below with regard to Archival process.
We are trying to evaluate infoRouter demo version.
Using SYSADMIN user permission the Domain/Library can be archived and these files are being stored in the same location where the infoRouter document warehouse is stored.
In Full version,Can we configure the physical location to store the Archiving library in one physical location (say in some remote server location) and all other libraries in the infoRouter warehouse itself ?
Thank you in advance.
Thanks,
Balaji

Re: Archiving a document
Hello,
Currently, we do not support archiving of documents in the same location. In other words, users are free to create and modify the archive libraries in a way they would like to.
However, you can use the existing disposition functionality of the infoRouter in order to move the documents automatically to a certain location.
When defining a Retention & Disposition Schedule, you can select an archive library as the central location of disposed items in dispose after section. So that the documents and folders can automatically move to the archive library when their retention periods have been completed.
Unfortunately, we do not support archiving on other physical locations. You can only flag these kind of documents with the transfer to external agency disposition type.
