Additional sysadmin accounts

Post by Brandon » Fri Apr 01, 2011 4:08 am

Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to create additional administrator level accounts (same as sysadmin) in InfoRouter. I've looked through the documentation and cannot seem to find anything regarding this topic. Any information would be helpful.

Thanks,

Brandon

Hello Brandon,

We do not have an account that mimics the “sysadmin” account but we have a few special system user groups that give the same effect.

These are:

Audit Managers
Policy Managers
User Managers

Members of these user groups can perform tasks that are typically “sysadmin” tasks. Theoretically, a user who is a member of all these groups gets close to being the “sysadmin”.

In addition to these, we have the “Library Manager” function.

The sysadmin can assign a special role to one or more users to become the “Library Manager” of a particular library.
Library managers have all the privileges of the sysadmin except their privileges are restricted to the library.

In the future we will be adding other roles similar to the ones above to help create sysadmin clones.

I hope this helps.

The Guru
